I am working with Kitson Consulting to develop a lightweight, open-source based, extensible protocol for the transfer of phylogenetic and phenotypic data (including markup.)
This work has arisen out of a perceived need to standardize the process of data exchange between local machines and hosted online services – and also looks ahead to the advent of large-scale cloud computing solutions to computationally-intensive phylogenetics problems.
